NDTV 24x 7, which is one of the most popular English news channels of India, has been the largest private producer of news and Current affairs. Headed by Prannoy Roy and his team, this channel has been most successful in Asia, Africa and South East Asia. In its effort to fight for truth this channel has some extraordinary reporters and journalists who grab news directly from the spot. The channel has been considered to be the best 24-hour English news channel in India that has won the Asian Television Award for Best News Channel not only for the year 2005 but also for the year 2006. NDTV 24x 7 has been one of the offshoot channels of NDTV. It was initially founded in the year 1988 as India`s first and largest private producer of news, current affairs and entertainment television.
